Position: Research Associate
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Environmental Science
- Disaster Risk Reduction / Climate Change / Environmental Management
- Civil Engineering
- Natural Sciences
- Or relevant related disciplines
- Environmental Science
- Strong proficiency in GIS and Remote Sensing
- Demonstrated enthusiasm to learn, challenge norms, and disrupt “business-as-usual” approaches
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred (Added Value)
Experience in:
- Research (qualitative, quantitative, geospatial, or mixed methods)
- Project management or coordination
- Proposal writing or business development

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Support proposal writing, concept note development, and stakeholder engagement
- Conduct background research and literature reviews
- Assist in preparing pitch decks and partnership materials
2. Project Management
- Assist in planning, coordination, scheduling, and documentation
- Support communication with partners, consultants, field teams, and stakeholders
- Help track deliverables, maintain documentation, and support administrative tasks
3. Research & Delivery
- Conduct geospatial analyses using GIS and remote sensing tools
- Support data collection, cleaning, modeling, and visualization
- Assist in the development of research reports, policy briefs, and other knowledge products
4. Product Refinement & Innovation
- Help refine CRR Lab’s analytical tools, methodologies, and knowledge products
- Bring new ideas to challenge assumptions and improve research quality
- Assist in testing prototypes, gathering feedback, and enhancing user-centered design
